Biography

I was born in the United Kingdom, and lived until college in Altrincham, a market town near Manchester. 

PSYCHOTHERAPY

  • 1980 – 1985: Leeds University, and then the Maudsley Hospital, London, foundational training in psychotherapy, working with individuals, couples and groups.

  • 2003 – 2006:  Postgraduate clinical diploma and MA in Group and Intercultural Psychotherapy, Goldsmiths College, University of London.

  • 2006 – 2010: Group therapist in London.

  • 2012 – 2014: MA in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles

  • 2015 – 2017: Adjunct faculty in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles

  • 2014 – Present: Narrative therapist, Los Angeles.


PSYCHIATRY

  • 1972 – 1978: BS, MD, Leeds University and Medical School

  • 1980 – 1985: Psychiatry training

  • 1983 – 2010: MRCPsych, Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London.

  • 1994 – 2010: Old Age Psychiatry specialist


I have no medical license or psychiatric board qualifications in the United States, nor am I seeking any.
